Birthdays from Facebook contact sync are wrong

I have tried to sync my contacts with facebook but the birthdays that are coming over are off by 1 day. I've tried to use FriendSync instead but that just turns on the Facebook contact sync again (at least I'm assuming that's how my facebook contact sync keeps getting turned back on...because I turned it off to use FriendSync).

Any help is appreciated...just want to make sure I have the correct birthdays. I really only need to sync the birthdays and photos, I don't need the status to show on my contacts because I will just go into FB for that but I really don't want to have to download more apps just to get the photos and bdays.

Thanks for any help!

This is a known problem with Facebook on HTC phones. I know it's no consolation but it should show correctly in the actual calendar app. Basically the crux of the problem is that birthdays are shifted by -1 hour HTC refuses to acknowledge the problem(that has existed since the Evo). In other words, you're kinda up a creek if you want this to work properly via the existing methods. I'm fairly sure that if you're rooted and uninstall the HTC compiled facebook(and components), and install the actual Facebook app, this will be resolved.

Thank you for the info.

I am not rooted and am not ready to do that yet as I don't want to void my warranty in any way...and I'm having other problems with my phone anyway (mobile network goes from 4g to 1x and bypasses 3g altogether) and might wind up getting a totally different phone, not sure which one I would go for yet but maybe the Razr...waiting to hear from VZW techs.

I guess for now I will just use separate apps to get bdays and photos.

Thanks.

I usually don't bad-mouth phones, but after playing with the Razr, it's garbage. I was coming from a Droid X and was looking forward to the Razr, and was utterly dissapointed. Now YMMV, so don't take my opinion as anything other than that. That being said, of the 3 the Rezound is pound for pound the best phone Verizon has to offer. Oh and I just read someone else complaining about their time zone shifting by itself. Might want to check that as well.

I don't remember this issue from the EVO 4G... I thought it was specifically an HTC and Verizon phone problem?

Thanks for the thoughts on the Razr. Problem is, I suspect Verizon techs are going to tell me my problem is with the Rezound itself because I am on my second brand new Rezound trying to resolve my problem and it's still there. At my house where I should have 4G coverage and definitely strong 3G, I am always in 1x.

So I don't know what phone I would switch to. I can understand not having 4G everywhere but I should at least have 3G.

I was ridiculously excited watching Moto unveil the Razr. I swore off HTC because they teased their previous announcement for like 2 weeks, and it ended up being the Rhyme. So I thought "whatever they have, it's too little, too late!"
I almost hit check-out when I was pre-ordering it, but I wanted to wait for the Nexus back then, so thank the Nexus I got the Rezound, I suppose.
The Razr feels pretty cool in-hand, though. A bit too wide and the bezels a bit too large, but I admire the risks taken in the design factor.
