Bixby button driving me crazy!

While I agree with you wholeheartedly that attitude is not accepted amongst some others. They are 'pro-Bixby' and you well experience being put down for "crying and hating on Bixby". Be aware of who you are dealing with.

I personally, Bixby has been all, but disabled. No ifs nor buts. I didn't spend $800 on something I didn't ask for.

I'm trying to give Bixby a chance, but so far, I consider the Bixby button a wart on an otherwise spectacular phone.

How did you disable Bixby? I went into apps to disable it but the disable button is greyed out...

Don't misunderstand my frustration with the actual button as a condemnation of Bixby itself. I Am looking forward to using it once it is fully functional.

My comment was just that it is in the exact location that I would grab my Note 5. So I just need to adjust to having something there.

I agree, but i think it just takes time to get used to. I am excited to see what bixby can offer and I am giving it a chance. Idk how you can say you do not like it when it doesn't even have full functionality yet (which is a different issue).
My complaint with the button spot is also because the volume button is perfectly straight with no indent or different feel to help know what button is what.

They removed one physical button and forced another one on us. And now thinking about it, it appears the positioning of the Bixby button has been placed EXACTLY where you are most likely to press it, even on accident. In plain sight, the evidence is right there. I feel like prying mine out, it's a hindrance!

This may seem like a stupid question, but what is the Bixby button. I press on the home button, and I get Google just like before.

I believe the firmware most of us are running will still allow you to remap the button to nothing. Do this and practice not pressing it for a few days before Samsung throws the smack down and forces their half baked, 2yr late Google now knockoff on all of us.

I am currently living the dream remapped to Google Now. Enjoying it while it lasts.

I guess I'm missing something. I've had this phone in my hands nonstop and never touched the Bixby button once

The one under the volume down button.

I don't know if it's the firmware, Nova Launcher or the apps I'm using, but Bixby doesn't even come up when I hit the button all the time. It works on Chrome, Twitter and the home screen, but not in Tapatalk.

This is the latest Telus firmware, FWIW.

With both of my cases they prevent the buttons from easily being pressed so I haven't had this issue. I'm a little upset that they put a button for Bixby, but I intend to give it a shot when it's actually functional. Bixby vision is pretty neat in the camera app, so I hope once it's fully functional the rest of the app will be worth using as well.

Forced....Your tin foil hat is a little tilted!

I've hit it a couple of times. I don't hate it though...just not used to it. We'll see after more use.
