Bixby question: How can I get Bixby to read a reminder when the set time arrives?

Here is what I'm trying to do:

I want to tell Bixby to set a Reminder to "Take medicine at 2:00 p.m." NO problem getting that reminder set. However, I when that 2:00 p.m. time comes, currently I only get a notification bell sound.

What I would like to do is this: When the reminder time comes up, I want Bixby to say "Time to take medicine". I found a way to tell Bixby to "read the last reminder" but that is after the fact, not setting up a text-to-voice notification.

Has anyone tried to set up something like this? Any success?

Clear steps would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I tried a location based reminder with Bixby once, "when I get to (certain place) remind me to do (whatever)"

Bixby set the reminder, but failed to remind me when I got there.

Somewhat unrelated, I know. Sorry.

As someone who recently came from Windows Mobile to Android, this is the type of thing that drives me nuts. Cortana on Windows Mobile did everything like this. Cortana reminded you to do things based on time or location, announced incoming text messages and offered to read tem to you and let you respond. She did this with or without bluetooth. She was fantastic. Now here I am on a new Note 8 and I have Bixby, Google assistant and Cortana installed. Cortana is half baked on Android and doesn't do all the things she used to do and neither Bixby or Google assistant are capable of doing any of these things. It amazes me how all you ever hear is how terrible Windows Mobile and it's apps are and yet not 1 of these assistants on this supposedly superior OS can do half of what Cortana did on a dead OS. Very frustrating

I was a long time Cortana addicted while using my Windows Phones as well. Cortana on Android just doesn't work as well. Guess it's too difficult to get the deep integration. Really miss it.

The closest I've come is having her set a reminder, and when the notification comes up, have a Quick Command of Reminder do she will read the reminder to me.

Thanks. I will try that as well.

Problem is, the notification chime at the appointed time is not enough to capture my attention. That's why I wanted it to give me a spoken reminder. If the reminder chime or sound were to catch my attention, then I really don't think I would need to read the reminder.

Thanks, again. I suspect there is "maybe" a way to do this; just needs to have the right guru to focus on it.

Still trying. Cheers.

Yeah, I agree...

Record your own voice and alarm tone and then set it as your alarm ringtone

Record your own voice saying what you want to hear with an alarm noise in the background and then set it as your alarm ringtone
