Bizarre App Start-Ups...

Okay, this is weird, and I am wondering if it's a software glitch, something I loaded, or my handset being a lemon...

I've had this thing over a week now, and in the past few days it's begun randomly opening up apps and switching screens, freezing up, etc. It SEEMS to occur after the music player has been used. I will be on the home screen, and will see the Camera icon highlight, like I've touched it, when I haven't. It then could switch over to the music player, and even select an album, change the option to "Artist," etc. Very strange.

This morning, I was paging through the home screens, and it stuttered between two pages, then decided I needed to see the weather. Then the video cam fired up.

Thinking I should visit the store and see what they say. Of course, it won't do any of this when I go there...

I used to get this frequently with my N1 exactly as you describe...mine ALWAYS happened coming from music player but didn't happen every time I left the music player. Power cycling worked to correct the issue most of the time and on occasion I would have to do a battery pull.

BTW, what music app are you using? DoubleTwist by chance?

No -- using the stock player that came with the phone. I did a battery pull (many, actually) and a factory reset. It happened again and again. Wondering if something I downloaded was whacked or if it was just a software glitch.

Regardless, at lunch I went to the AT&T store and swapped it out. No issues so far, but I will be very selective in which apps I load...slow but sure.
