Bizarre problem with Flickr links from S10e and Samsung Tab S4

For months the emailed links in Flickr emails to images by my Flickr favorites have often had vertical text rather than horizontal, not shown thumbnails, and worst of all instead of linking to Flickr are going to either Facebook or Pbase - two other sites.

I have back and forth messaged with their technical support with their suggestions not improving the situation at all, and the latest suggestion which came with a "Do Not Reply" to reset the password did not help at all.

Do you have other email accounts from other email providers? If so, see if the emails appear the same if sent to those other accounts.

I do have another email account to which I forwarded the email and the same exact thing happened. The Flickr link went to Facebook.

Extremely strange!

Thanks for the suggestion. Any suggestions from Flickr haven't worked.

I'm not too familiar with how Flickr works -- how are you generating the link?

What I mean is, who is initiating these emails to you? Is it an automated system where they send you an email to look at some of your old photos, or is it an email letting you know that there are new photos to see?

Does the same thing happen if you open the email on a computer browser?

It's automatically sent from Flickr when one of my Favorite photographers has posted new images to their Photostream.

I have no trouble with the links when I'm viewing the emails on my PC.

Hmm. Try going to Settings>Apps, select the email app, then clear the cache. You might have to wait for a new email to be sent to you from Flickr.

There is no option to clear the cache in the app settings.

I do appreciate your trying to solve this problem I'm having. Thank you.

Not the app's own settings -- go to the system settings, then the Apps section, then select the Email app there. The option to clear the cache might be under a Storage subheading.

Yes, it was under storage. These were only 17.8 mb in the cache.
That didn't do any good. Links still leading to Facebook.

You mentioned before that you tried forwarding the email to one of your other email accounts -- can you instead change the email account that Flickr uses to one of the other accounts? Trying to determine if the problem is with a particular email provider.

I'd rather not do that. Very inconvenient to use Yahoo mail. I don't want to have to go to two different email providers. I guess I'll just not view Flickr emails on my tablet or phone.

Strange thing is it used to work just fine on my older tablet and phone.

Ok, one more idea -- try adding that email account to your Gmail app, and see if the email is properly formatted when you access it there.
