Black screen after visual vm and calls

[Android Central Question]

hi i have a n10 plus and when i try to listen to my visual voicemail and i click on the speaker part IT TURNS BLACK ALL THE TIME and when i make calls it goes black and i have to click on the side button to wake it up can someone help please its really frustrating

Welcome to Android Central! Are you talking about a Galaxy Note10 Plus, or a OnePlus Nord N10? Which carrier are you using?

It might be a proximity sensor issue. If you have a case or screen protector on, make sure it isn't blocking the proximity sensor, which is right near the front-facing camera.
