Well sort of anyways. I was walking through the mall a little while ago finishing up on my Christmas shopping. My Bluetooth says that it disconnected from the phone. I didn't think too much of it at first. I figured the phone was being like my Bionic where the Bluetooth disconnects for a few seconds and then reconnects. It didn't.

I look at the phone and all I see is Google (the one that comes on the phone when you turn it on.)

After about 5 minutes I did a battery pull and then powered it back up.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

I have had a similar event. While i was switching between two apps by way of the multi task button, my screen went completely black and the phone was unresponsive. It finally restarted itself.

That *might have been* more of a 'Random Re-boot'. Wonder if it would have continued to boot a little later?

(Can thread titles be edited by the OP?)

I'm not sure. But, if it was a reboot, 5 minutes is a long time for a boot to take. It didn't even take that long when the update installed.

I've had two random reboots. But I wasn't taxing the hardware too much at the time, so hopefully it's software related and will be fixed in 4.0.3. If not, I'm exchanging it.

I had one random reboot while the Sirius XM app was trying to load for the first time. Did go black for a minute but booted up just fine.

yeah i just had this happen to me this afternoon....was in the android market about to type in a search and it just shut off...black nothing. I restarted mine using the hold vol up/dwn and then power button and it booted right up...no big concern but if you really need it right then not a good thing to have happen randomly

Ive had it happen twice....both times surfing and accidentally pulling the notification bar down.....goes black.....allows me to boot back up right away. No big deal....they will fix it.

This happened to me this afternoon... but no sign of recovery yet. I am taking my Nexus S back to Videotron. Interesting that this happened shortly after system update to "Ice Cream Sandwich".
