Black Screen

I have noticed lately that the screen goes black every once in a while. It is not the proximity sensor because I am not on a call when it happens. It seems like it is usually after I turn the phone on in the morning. Anyone have this problem? Any ideas? Thanks!

How long after you turn the phone on does it go off and what do you have your phone set at?

It's not the timeout and it doesn't appear that the phone goes off...I can eventually get the screen back by trying some different buttons.

My DINC does the same thing. I seems to lock up for a brief moment of time and then after giving me the black screen goes back to working properly.

I've had this happen twice but it hasn't occured since and it's been weeks. Don't know what caused it but I'm guessing app related.

Sometimes if an app has to force close or is buggy and wont open correctly, I get this black screen you speak of. I don't think it has anything to do with the phone, but just a buggy app I downloaded.
