My wife's SM-G900A screen turns black and usually I just squeeze around on
the right side of the phone and it comes back. The screen use to turn a dull
yellowish color then it started turning black.

You can press the home button and the two icons light up on either side of it.

I have tried several of the fixes to no avail.

Most people didn't just press around on the frame and get it to light up like I did.

It's still under warranty with Samsung so I definitely give them a call, but the first thing I do is take it by the carrier and have them have a look at it.
sometimes being issued a refurbished phone as a replacement sucks but in this case I think I'll take one

August would be 1 year. What is the warranty period?

I had ask the person at Besy Buy and they said they would probably replace it with a refurbished one. We decide to ride it out but it has got worse.

The phone got so bad we finally took it in to the Houston service center (71 miles).

Took 3 hours and they replaced the screen under warranty. Said it was probably the clip connector from the
LCD to the CPU.

They got the Zagg protector back on with a slight blemish on the right side.

One service center in the whole Houston area seems rather pathetic.
