Hi All, I am switching from my usless bb to a D2 im just looking for some info from former bb users on transferring music, playlists, pics, and vids from my bb sd card to the D2. Ive heard that there is a potential of losing info by just installing my bb card into the new D2. I don't have a pc that I can back up to. Any and all info will be greatly appreciated. Thank You in advance!

I myself left my 9650 bold for my new droid 2 and I have to disagree with you about how the bold was useless as you said, it was great for me with what I needed in a phone and my wife is now enjoying the benefits of my former bold with the new OS6 on it. That being said I'll answer your question; no you do not lose anything pics or file wise when you transfer your memory card to the droid 2 (unless you encrypted your files on your BB which in that case you will). When you open up file manager on your droid 2 find the blackberry file and viola there's all your files.

I like my droid 2 but loved my Blackberry Bold. There's things I don't miss about BB but there are small yet important aspects that I already miss such as getting my work email on my d2. I can receive but can't send. Good luck with your D2

In regards to not being able to send...I'm assuming you're using corporate sync to get email, calendar, and contacts?

If so, we've had a similar problem with various Android phones. What works well for us is to disable mail sync, then set up an IMAP account. This has worked well and has allowed our users to send and receive mail, and still get their calendar and contact data.

Worth a shot if you're in a similar situation. Hopefully that might help.

Thank you Kimo. The reason why I'm switching is because I went through 3 bolds in a month and didn't want to go through anymore.

yeah i'll try that, i used both corporate sync and pop3...i'll try IMAP and see how that goes for me. thanks for that bit of info :)

I haven't had any problems with my sd card since going from my BB Bold to my D2 and I do have to say it was the best move I ever made. My BB Bold was a joke and I had 3 of them in 2 months.

I didn't have any issues with media when I switched from my storm to my droid x. It did make harder the find some files cause of extra pathways. If you have the time, I would recommended backing up your sd card and just format and load you're card back up.

Thank you all for your input. I have a couple more quick questions though 1) can i use my blackberry chargers on the D2 and 2) i have well over 700 songs on my sd card in playlists will i have to redo the playlists or will they transfer also? Thanks again for any and all help!

My play lists didn't transfer, but they are easy to set up on the droid
