Thx, good to see CrackBerry is still there. If I remember correctly, haven't visited since I moved to Android/iOS after my Q10 stopped getting updates.

I've been less than impressed since deploying their solution back ~1999 in the enterprise shop where I worked.

The initial setup was a BB server with NT Server 4 and Exchange 5.5. Things got far worse for a while with Windoze 2000 Server and and half baked "new &improved" Exchange. A number of all-nighter support calls later I said NO THANKS!

My opinion, it should be like the Samsung Fold, but with the keyboard on one of the internal faces. So you have a standard touchscreen on the outside, so it acts like a standard phone, flip it open and you have a full keyboard (or gamepad) and a landscape display.

I had a similar phone pre smartphone era. The Sanyo Incognito:





So the basic design like that, but on the horizontal, it's still a touch screen.

This way it's the best of both worlds.


However, I don't think the current proposal will fly. You'll get a fair number of the diehard Blackberry fans, but let's be fair, they couldn't keep the actual Blackberry brand alive.

Don't get me wrong, I like options. I hate seeing a phone OEM fold, because that gets us closer to having our choices of smartphones be Samsung or Apple, and that isn't really a choice in my opinion.

I have pre-ordered both the power keyboard and the clicks communicator already. I am friends with the guys who created Niagara launcher since it was in Alpha development and we had a great discussion about it the other day. It is amazing that a passion project for Peter has turned into his full time job developing the app and for it to be chosen for this new device. I feel like a proud mother hen!! Lol.

This phone is really exciting. There was a great podcast about it from the creators of Clicks and it is worth watching on YouTube here

Really excited for this phone and I should get it for around £300 which is a bargain.

That's awesome! I'm happy that you have connected and I agree the developer seems like a really awesome person along with the group. I've recently joined Niagara launcher and installed it on both my phones and I have to say I'm not looking to move away from it. On Telegram with their groups has been excellent
