blinking orange light

I just received an htc evo from a friend and when I put it on the charger it started blinking orange light ive read that some times it just takes a little for the phone to get charged about how long does it usually take?

I just received an htc evo from a friend and when I put it on the charger it started blinking orange light ive read that some times it just takes a little for the phone to get charged about how long does it usually take?

If the battery was drained to 0 percent and powered off the light will blink for about 5 minutes before you can restart your phone. This would also happen to me if I was doing something intensive on my phone while charging and the battery temp gets too high.
