Blinking Power Off update 2.3.3 or 3.0?

Hi, I recieved my gingerbread update for my Nexus one yesterday. However, I'm a little confused. One of the features i was most looking forward to doesn't seem to exisit. I've seen video's showing the an updated nexus one showing a (old tv style) blinking off when the power button is pressed. I don't seem to be getting this with 2.3.3. All i get is the standard straight to black screen.

Is this likely a feature of 3.0?

Has anyone got blinking power off on 2.3.3?

If so, is it a setting i need to turn on somewhere?

May have answered my own question; the following shows an image of nexus one doing the blinking off thing. and a video showing it running on a Nexus S.

Gingerbread is here. We update our Nexus One to Android 2.3.3 - Page 7 - Recombu

So new question, why doesn't it work on mine?
