Bloatware question

so i rooted my epic, and used root explorer to get rid of bloatware apps like nascar. I eliminated the sfl- blah blah.apk to get rid of the nfl app, and the system/app folder says it is gone but the stupid icon still shows up. Any ideas on how to get rid of it? Thanks!

Not sure how to get rid of the icon at this point, but in the future use the SDX App Remover for clean removal of system apps. You could even give it a shot now - and if the app doesn't show up, try putting the .apk back and then using the tool.

I know its probably been tried but I has this same issue and a battery pull fixed it for me.
