So I finally got the nerve to root my DInc thanks to all of the helpful people here. Now I am trying to get rid of the CRAP that is on my phone that I have no need for. ie. skype, stocks, news, city id. I tried uninstalling in titanium backup (free version) but when I reboted my phone they were all still there :-( How on earth do you get rid of this junk?

Looks like it is true, the dark side DOES have better candy.

Although I really like Titanium...I am too cheap to buy the version (plus the wife would kill me for rooting). The link to the Thunderbolt site was a great help, however the images are down and it is kinda harder for me to follow this late at night. Are there any other options?

You can use any file manager with SU access to either rename the bloat you want to remove or copy it to the SD card. I don't remember the name of the free one Cory posted in his thread, but that one, or Astro are good. I use Root Explorer, but it's a paid app.

If you re-name them, then you don't have to remember where they go if you want to restore them. but it's really six of one - half dozen of the other.
