Block a Spam SMS Number

It says in directions to press and hold the spam message then choose block spam. There is no such option. Anyone know a way?

Which directions are you looking at? That's how it works for the T-Mobile version, but it might be different for the Verizon version.

First, are you long-pressing the spam message from the main screen, where you can see all of your conversations? Or are you actually in that spam thread, and trying to long-press the initial message? I think you have to be in the main screen (at least for T-Mobile): https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-11623

If it doesn't work, you probably have to go to your My Verizon account and enter the number into your spam filter there: Spam Controls FAQs | Verizon Wireless

Yes but they only give you 5 for free and they automatically come off after a month.

I think you need to try "Mr. Number-Block calls & spam" app in google. It will be useful for you.
check wiseapp they offer all kind of apps. i found there really good app.
