Is there a way to block SMS from the fascinate like there is on a bb? I am traveling to Mexico and I rather not call customer Service to put a text block. That is one feature I liked about the bb.

There are apps for that, like I tell everyone else bookmark this site and also add it to your phone from the Market so you will be able to sync apps to it from your computer. Here are some that I found, hope this helps you out.

You could also turn off auto retrieval. Just go into setting for you messaging app and have it not retriever messages.

You can block some things from Verizon's website as well. Just login to your account and go to the messaging area.

There is an easy solution on your phone settings...

Menu/Settings/Wireless&Networks/MobileNetworks/DataRoaming.

Uncheck the box to disable data connection when roaming.

edit: Actually, not sure if that stops SMS... Might want to double-check with verizon, or if anybody else here can verify.

Unfortunatley that will only stop picture messages, not SMS.

Go onto your My Verizon and add the block SMS feature while you're traveling.
It's the only way to be sure.
