Blocked from wifi

There is an open wifi network somewhere in my apartments that I have been using for a while with my S5 and laptop. Today I tried connecting to the network again and it won't connect on either device. Can I change my mac? I tried using betternet vpn but it has to be online before working. Any help appreciated.
