Blocked Radio ?

why is the radio on S 6 blocked, I had my daughters older Sony Xperia and as soon as I plugged my headphones in I got radio for FREE! no data usage. As pointed out in many a forum or FB or Twitter, the FM radio on the "chip" is more than useful if during an emergancy when that much traffic puts the phone down at least then you could listen to the FM radio and get updates as to what is happening.

Will Samsung or in my case Virgin Media lift the block ?

Not, its embedded into the phone that keeps you from using it. Many people has the same feelings as you do. Just like Next radio app that some phones can use. Unfortunately S6 is not one of them.
