Hi. I have an S23 Ultra through T-Mobile. I receive spam calls all day, every day, mostly from the same area code and exchange but the last four numbers vary. Is there any way to block these calls by area code? This is driving me crazy.

Thanks for any help.

Welcome to Android Central! I know that Pixels have really good spam identification and blocking using Google's Phone app, but I'm not sure about Samsung -- @mustang7757 , what's your experience?

You could try using T-Mobile's Scam Shield, although you might have to pay for some of the features: https://www.t-mobile.com/benefits/scam-shield
T-Mobile should have the same spam control as unlock version if u go to settings of the call app

Are you talking about T-Mobile's Scam Shield app, or Samsung's own Phone app?
The phone app itself

Oh right, Samsung use Hiya. Have you found it to be pretty good about this kind of spam calls, where the spammer uses the same area code and first 3 digits of the user's number, but randomizes the last 4 digits (e.g., 123-456-xxxx)?

Sometimes too good legit numbers will be marked spam at times

I just turned on the T-Mobile Scam Shield service. I didn't realize that included a call block function (duh!). I'll let you know how that works.

I appreciate all the replies and advice.
How is that working out? I started getting tons of spam calls in past few months, maybe get 5-10 spam calls per day and half of them do not even connect to anyone. All come from spoofed numbers with my area code and sometimes even legit first and last names. This is getting out of control.....10 spam calls daily at home and at work.....

I read about placing SIT tones in the beginning of voice greeting that would treak robocalls into thinking that number is invalid. I am trying that now
