Anyone know how to stop the OTA from downloading and prompting on stock 4.0.4 ICS? I had too many issues with the reboots/restarts and I want to stay on ICS for now. But I've searched and found some suggestions on how to stop it, but nothing for the GNex, unless I'm just missing it.

Not sure how to do that but. Cyanogen mod has a stable 4.2 ROM that I have been using for a couple of days now with not a single issue ( trust me you will love the improvements from ics ) :) You have an awesome phone with endless possibilities

You can hit "reject" to stop the update for a while but if your phone is anything like mine, it will force update on its own when it's ready. I blocked Jellybean and my phone woke me up at 2am updating itself. Maybe root access will stop it but I'm not sure. If not, one day you'll just have to deal with it

I know exactly why you mean. I was hearing all the issues with jellybean and didn't want to update. I was cool with ICS too and loved it. I rejected the update and I was good for maybe a week or 2 and then boom, my phone is updating itself without me touching anything. So I'm saying you're cool for now but most likely your phone will do the same. Just do a factory reset after the update and you should be good. No issues at all since the reset. You have a different phone but I'm sure you'll get the same results. Hold out for as long as you can
