Yup all backordered, I believe Verizon is one of the worst regarding estimated shipping dates. Samsung really dropped the ball on this. I'd say the people who have to wait a month after release to get their phones (and potentially loose out on the pre-order gift) should be compensated but I know that would never happen.

A lot of stores are not going to carry it. Only available to order. At least that's the case at most of the AT&T stores in my area. They say the demand is not as high as the 128 to carry in stock.

Been trying to find the post again. I mean it's possible it was just someone mad they couldn't get it now.

I preordered mine with an estimated ship day of September 5. but 5 days after I ordered it was shipped (25th) from Texas. when I asked to buy one in store on the 24th because I dont have any patients and not knowing it was shipping the very next day. No store had it in stock. We check every major store for the 512 but nothing. They told me the phone wasnt a big hit and they only had one person come in to buy it.

Check your local Bestbuy. The online inventory isn't correct. I have been to 4 stores in the DC area that have them in stock but it says they don't have any online. The two stores closest to me had the unlocked and Verizon versions.

I checked BestBuy near me. They didn't have it and acted like they never would. As for VZW saying 512 is unpopular you can't sell it if you don't have it so how do they know? I called VZW and they just told me none of the storehave any because they are backordered. I don't like buying vzw phone at bestbuy. I prefer buying it at vzw.

They really are stupid. Most people that buy the Note's usually get the next Note that comes out. The 512GB and 8GB of ram was the motivation for me to upgrade.

The bigger battery and the 8gb were key for me. I have no interest in the 6gb model and will quickly lose interest in the 8gb model. I don't want to be setting up a new phone once the fall semester begins.

Plenty of unlocked 512 GB ocean blue available from Amazon US. They have been available right from launch day without any issues to ship immediately for next day delivery. You can even order today to get immediately. So not everywhere there is a delay.

Entitled for having to wait a MONTH after release when my pre-order was placed only 5 days into the pre-order period? I think not. I placed my order 16 days ago and I still have 19 more days at the EARLIEST to get a shipping confirmation. A lot of people have dropped their pre-order due to Samsung's lack of preparation, so yes I believe some sort of compensation especially if we loose out on the pre-order gift because that promotion expires on September 13th.

True, but if that is the case, why aren't more people going to Amazon? I myself am confused because the seller said it was the US Verizon version and then someone else said it worked with Tmobile, so I am really confused
