Blue Light Filter - surprisingly great for me

When I heard about this Blue Light Filter on the Note 7 I was very skeptical. Changing the hue of the screen has never been anything I felt would look good or could help. On top of that, I am one who prefers a bluer-white, over a yellower-white. Other folks may prefer the opposite, it's all in one's taste.

In any case, after playing with my new Note all day, I flipped on the Blue Light filter around 9:00 pm. At first I hated how it looked, I thought it looked garish or something :-) But after a minute or two I could already tell how much easier on my eyes it is, and after 15 more minutes or so, I forgot it was on. Just now, I turned it off and was shocked by just how blue-ish the screen looked after a long time in the Blue-light filtered state. It was funny how it immediately hurt my eyes until they adjusted.

Anyway, you might want to give it a shot for a while, even if you are like I was, highly dubious of the benefits. I love the little things sometimes in these flagships.

I am enjoying it. I have it enabled right now for sunset to sunrise :).

Can't wait to get my note 7. Thanks for info. I was waiting to check this out cause I really need it for my eyes since I look at my phone alot at night lol. I'm a night owl lol.

This is one of thing I loved on iOS, yep this is great. Automatically set for sunset to sunrise. Makes using the phone at night pleasurable experience.

Can't enjoy using a phone without this personally.

I did not realize iOS had this as well. Well it certainly is a welcome addition for me.

Yeah they added this in spring this year on iOS 9.something. Same there as well you can set it to automatically turn on at sunset and turn off at sunrise.

This is also inbuilt on Android N I believe.

I'm an iPhone 6s Plus user thinking about trying out the Note 7. The Night Mode function is a great relief for eye strain. Very handy late at night.
