I had trouble linking my Note 3 phone by gear manager and it just kept on searching and searching HOWEVER I found a sequence methodology that works.
TURN OFF WI FI ON NOTE 3 (IN CASE INTERFERING with blue tooth connection).
SHUT DOWN GEAR 2 WATCH.
START GEAR 2 MANAGER SEARCHING FOR WATCH.
START or boot up GEAR 2 WATCH CLOSE TO NOTE 3.
Each time I find the phone now detects the watch once the gear 2 watch completes it's boot up after being switched off. This connection link method works every time for me. If you leave the watch on and then try to use gear manager on Note 3 to link with a search it doesn't work for some reason. Check watch says viewable to other devices.
Afterwards don't forget to switch on your wi fi on note 3 if at home.
