Hey guys. Coming from a blackberry bold, i felt as tho I was missing out on the charging dock which doubled as a bedside clock/alarm. Well since there are no good options for a charging dock for the skyrocket, I went out in search of an alternative...
A friend showed me this site awhile ago and i remembered a neat little simple stand they had.
Bluelounge - Milo: Micro-Suction Stand for your smartphone
This stand is so simple yet so effective with the skyrocket. It uses a 'micro' suction pad on the bottom to securely fasten to any smooth surface (nightstand). I was worried it wouldnt stick well to my nightstand because of the paint finish. My nightstand has an almost textured finish to it and it isnt as smooth as most. It stuck great! There is also a second suction pad that holds the phone. A lot of you skyrocket users have a case on your phone but it will still work! The suction will stick to any smooth surface and it sticks very well. While it may feel like it, the suction pads do NOT use adhesive which means they can be stuck and restuck indefinitly. Even if you use a textured case that doesnt stick, the bottom part has a little curved lip that holds the phone in place. You can see that in the pic below.
I use this stand in combination with a great app i found called Bedside. Check out my review HERE. Bedside is packed with customization features that allow you to create the perfect alarm clock to be used with a stand of any sort.
PROS:
- Suction pad on the bottom holds the stand securely to the table for one handed phone removal. This stand STAYS PUT.
-Simple design - phone remains the main product. The stand doesnt overshadow the beauty of the phone
- Versitility. This stand allows the phone to be mounted in any orientation (landscape or portrait). You can also use any case with this stand.
CONS:
-no charger implementation. You still have to plug the charging cord in if you want to use it to charge.
-I really can't think of any other cons
.
Well this is the end..
