Bluetooth always connected after MM?

After MM update, I notice that my Bluetooth icon in the notification panel is always showing as it is connected (the icon with two small arrows/triangles pointing at it) whether I am connected to something or not. I know that the icon will be there if Bluetooth is turned on, but in the past if I am not connected to anything I see the Bluetooth icon without the triangles, an once I connect to something then the triangles show up. When I get into the Bluetooth setting I don't see any active connections. I do have an android wear watch that is connected but normally that doesn't activate the Bluetooth triangles.

The only way to get rid of the triangles is to turn off Bluetooth completely and turn in back on. but I have to keep doing that everytime I disconnect from a headset or a car Bluetooth.
