Myth or fact: leaving Bluetooth on when not near a paired device uses little to no battery?

Would be so convenient to just leave it on...but I'm neurotic about battery consumption

Re: Bluetooth

I turn mine off just to be safe. It'd be a pain on the iPhone, but with widgets, my Bluetooth on/off switch is just a swipe and a tap away.

Re: Bluetooth

I turn mine off out of paranoia also. That's just me though. As said above, it is too easy to toggle off/on, so I turn it off whenever I'm not using my headset.

Re: Bluetooth

I leave it on all the time and dont notice any difference in battery. My guess is newer revisions of bluetooth use much less energy.

Re: Bluetooth

If you're not going to use it for any significant amount of time, turn it off. Remember, it is a radio and radios use battery. Maybe not a lot, but 4G will make up for it :p

Ever since I got the extra battery with the charger, I don't worry about battery life. It's a non-issue. Thank God we have that option with the GN....unlike the Razr or iPhone. I "rented" the Razr for a month but I was always stressing about battery life.

Now I keep my phone on 4G, BT, wifi, etc...etc.... without worry. If you find yourself constantly monitoring battery life, stop driving yourself nuts and get the extra battery and start enjoying the GN they way you ought to be!
