Bluetooth and equalizer

I have bt ear buds connected how do I get the equalizer to work or is it only for wired headphones and buds

haven't used bt buds yet on my 1+6 but I think it's only for wired.

I have BT headphones, no problem with equaliser.

I just got some new beats 3 and my eq is grayed out?? Is there a trick to get it to function?

Try, settings, sound, audio tuner, and top right, turn it on.. Good luck. Hope it's OK BTW I'm Bluetooth with jlab Bluetooth headphones
