I just received the Marshmallow update on my Verizon Galaxy S6. I noticed my phone now how an option under location to turn on low energy bluetooth to improve the location accuracy of my phone. How does this work? I thought bluetooth was good up to like 5 feet tops.

Thanks for the help.

Battery saving location mode uses WiFi, data, and Bluetooth to estimate your location.
If you are connected to WiFi or mobile data Google will see your IP address and approximate your location. I have no idea how Bluetooth can be used to determine your location. Maybe if you connect your phone to a Bluetooth GPS tracking device of some sort...
