Bluetooth calls in the car

Hello,

I recently brought a vw Golf and I have connected my phone via Bluetooth to it.

Music audio works perfectly and I can see all my contacts, however it would fail when trying to make phone calls via the car.

I went into the Bluetooth settings on the phone for the car and noticed that media audio and contact sharing is ticked but phone audio is not ticked. I'm assuming this is the problem but it won't let me tick the box to enable it. When I click nothing happens. It doesn't matter if I'm in the car or not when I tick this.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Have you tried un-pairing the devices and re-pairing them? Look out for any permission prompts on your phone. Also, make sure that in your car (if available), the phone is connected as a phone and not only as media.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I have un paired nd paired again, I said yes to any security prompts.

I have verified from the cars end it's connected as both audio and phone. It just seems to be this tick box in the Bluetooth settings that it won't let me tick!

One other thing I forgot to mention is that my girlfriends phone pairs to the bluetooth in the car and makes calls with no problems at all. So it's def not a problem with the car.
