Bluetooth car speakerphones?

Hey folks,
I was wondering if anyone was using a speakerphone for their car with the GN. I paired an earpiece and it works fine. I've also paired it to my 2 cars with factory bluetooth (both are Acuras). My daily driver doesn't have factory bluetooth.
I've tried 2 units and both have had issues.

1st unit was a Jabra Freeway. It worked pretty well. After a few days though it was having issues when using the phones voice dialer. (Maybe it was a bad unit as it worked very well the first few days). I would issue the command "Phone commands" which is supposed to flip over to use the phone's dialer but it won' t work.

2nd unit was a Motorola Roadster. This unit really didn't work at all. Every time it powered up it wanted to pair. Even though it was already paired. It didn't work with trying to use the phone's dialer.

Does anyone have any units that are known to work with the GN. I am tired of fumbling for the earpiece when I get called. My daily driver is a manual transmission so using the phone while driving is not good....(plus it is against the law).

Thanks

Pairing froze my TL radio in phone mode. Silence for 3 days. Hesitant to retry.

I've been successfully using the Blueant S4, and like it a lot.

Thanks. I may try that one next. I am thinking and hoping that the Jabra Freeway that I have may have gone bad. It worked fine for a few days. I might call Jabra.
I really want the Freeway to work. Its speaker(s) is fantastic. The Moto Roadster I tried sounded terrible when compared to the Jabra Freeway. Though the Jabra's FM is terrible. Moto's FM sounded great.

Thanks,

cobra,

Hey I saw your post about bluetooth in your car. Were you referring to both the razr maxx and the samsung nexus? Do you have navigation or not in your 2005 acura tl?

I am thinking about buying the razr maxx but want to make sure it will work in my car. I drive an 2007 Acura TL and I am in the car all the time. So I want to make sure it will work with bluetooth handsfree before I buy. I would think if your 2005 works perfectly, then i should be fine. Please help me. thank you so much!

Most vendors, and VZ is only one w/Max rite now, should let you try it...maybe a sales guy w/Max goes with u to car....

I have the Motorola Roadster and it works great with my Nexus. The only problem I have ever had pairing the two is sometimes the roadster needs to be turned on second after the nexus bluetooth. I tried the roadster's predecessor, the t505, and thought the quality was mediocre in comparison.

Sorry to take so long to respond. The Maxx and Gnex work just fine in the 2005 TL. I actually just sold that and got a 2008 Mazda CX-9 GT to replace it. Bluetooth works fine there too.

Just to followup...
I tried the blueant s4 but returned it as it had no mute. Tried the Motorola roadster but it just didn't work. I went back to the Jabra Freeway as I had a hunch that my first one was flaky. That has been working great.
