I can connect my sprint G S3 to my toyota tundra hands call audio with no issues but cannot get the media audio to connect. If i select the media audio when the vehicle is trying to connect then it will work for a second and then disconnect. The systen says the media player cannot be connected. Tundra 2011 with nav. Anybody else having this issue? Any ideas on a fix? Thanks in advance.

Android currently doesn't support Bluetooth media capabilities to cars yet. or cars don't support media capabilities for android. one or the other. I read it in an article back in the day. the new cars should start coming out with that support.

I use bluetooth audio to listen to my MP3 files on my Ford Explorer with no problems. The sound comes through the car speakers. Used it with ICS and now with Jelly Bean. Could be a Toyota issue.

Not much help sorry, but I have a 2012 Tundra and I currently have both phone and media running through the bluetooth. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I cant remember the exact steps. Mostly because it was a gigantic pain in the a*$! Just keep messing with the different setups. I feel like I went with the phone setup in the end, but I am not sure what the second setting is supposed to be set to.

There seems to be something up with the implementation or hardware on this phone. My car has bluetooth for phones but not for audio, so I don't really have an issue there, but I use several other audio devices. With my old Epic, or GS2 Epic 2 I could connect to my SENA bluetooth system in my motorcycle helmet for audio streaming and phone. Same with my Giro snow helmet's bluetooth system, audio streaming + phone. With the S3, I can connect to the SENA system and stream audio and connect to phone, but no matter what I try, I can only connect to the phone portion of my Giro snow helmet (with Skullacandy bluetooth system). I wonder if there is a version mismatch issue between older bluetooth systems and the S3.

The car probably doesn't support A2DP, which is used for music and higher quality audio. Bluetooth SCO is used for phone calls.
