Bluetooth default app

My LG3 is still going strong. I just started using bluetooth earbuds and was wondering if someone could help me. I have Poweramp for playing music and use Pocket Casts for my podcasts. While listening to Pocket Casts, when I pause the earbuds and then punch it to start again, Poweramp always starts playing instead of what I was listening to. I'm assuming there is a "make default" setting somewhere, or this is a limitation of bluetooth? Any suggestions would be appreciated (helpful ones more than others).

Media file types (mps, aac, etc) have default apps that play them. Earbuds and Bluetooth don't. If you can't clear the default for Poweramp (it's in Applications manager - scroll down), install Default App Manager so that you can choose a function and be sent to the right page in AM.

Thanks for the info. I went to Application Manager, went to Power Amp, and saw "open by default: no defaults set". I'm assuming that means my problem isn't with what is default then?
