Bluetooth ear buds and dual audio

Did an update come through that now makes you have to use dual audio for Bluetooth earbuds? I got these ear buds two weeks ago and when I first set them up I didn't have pair them separately. Now it's telling me to pair them separately and the only way I can hear out of both buds is if I turn on dual audio . I hate the dual audio because it makes it seem like there's a delay in each bud. I was just wondering if it was just me having this issue and if there was a fix.

It could be the buds became "un-paired" from each other. Some of the less expensive devices can have this happen, the manual has info on re-syncing them.

So I found the instructions on how to repair them but it's not working. I must be doing it wrong.

I contacted Amazon and they tried to help me get them set up but nothing worked so I'll be getting a new pair. Thanks hallux for trying to help.
