Bluetooth earpiece not staying connected

Have a Plantronics Voyager legend that works great with the Note2. Earpiece paired fine but after 30 sec. of inactiviaty, connection ends (likely power saving). Anybody know of a way to disable this or is this a defect by design?

It's due to the BT stack in Android 4.3. It's the same reason why so many people are having issues with BT keyboards.

Makes sense. I haven't had a chance to try my BT keyboard yet but from what I am reading looks like it could be a problem with that as well.
