Bluetooth Earpiece problems

I have a Blue Ant V1 Bluetooth earpiece paired with my droid. The earpiece worked fine with my Storm (both of them). It's a flaming pile of crap on the droid though.

About 50% of the time, when I try to make or take a call with it, I get 30 seconds of solid static, then 30 seconds of random clicking, then the beep that tells me it's just found the phone again, then the call kicks over to it. In the mean time, I've been talking through the handset. I emailed Blue Ant, they say it's the droid (naturally). I'm inclined to believe them since it worked fine on my Storms.

Anyone else having any issues with Blue Ant or other bluetooth earpieces on the droid? It's the only Bluetooth item I've tried to use with it, so I don't know if there's a bluetooth problem or not.

I've upgraded to the latest firmware on the Blue Ant, but it made no difference at all. Seems like it can't keep the pairing up, so it drops then reconnects on about half the calls. I've tried rebooting the phone, disconnecting then re-pairing the earpiece, etc. Nothing has made any difference so far.

Any ideas?

Well my problem isnt as bad as yours. If I am in a call and I want to switch to Bluetooth it doesnt let me unless I turn off bluetooth and turn it back on then it connects. I have no problem if the earpiece is on before the call. I have the Jawbone 2

I have the same headset and have not had many issues with it. I have had a problem with echos, but only with some people. My biggest bitch is that there is no voice activated support at all.

I too had been using the Blueant V1, untill it died.
It was working fine with my BB Tour, but with my Droid I got static alot and now it just quit working. I went and purchased a Jawbone Prime and it works great so far.

I have the Blueant Q1 and it works flawlessly... have you updated to the latest firmware for the headset?

I've had some of the same issues as you... but as soon as I got my JB Prime,no worries until now.
I usually turn off my bt function while at work or when not in use, in order to slow my Droid's functions down. But today when I turned it off, I can't get my bt function to stay on (wtf?)!
Even I go through all the settings to turn on my bt on my Droid I still get no joy. I even went as far to do a good ole BB move and pulled my battery.... twice! Still no change!
Not trying to threadjack or anything, but does anyone know a good fix for this?
Thanks.
