Bluetooth headset disconnect when calling

After the update from Verizon to NRD90U, when I dial a number wearing my BT headset, once the phone connects it will switch to the phone speaker rather than my headset. I have to tap the BT logo to get it to connect again. Kind of annoying. Anyone else seeing this behavior?

Im having the same issue. First with my pixel now with the g6. Using a Plantronics headset. Can anyone shed any light on this? Really getting old.

I am having the same problem. Started on my G4 around the same time as the first post and is continuing on my G6. Moto H730.
