Bluetooth headset volume buttons won't work

[Android Central Question]

So, i bought a JBL t110 and it was working just fine, but all of a sudden now i have the following problem: The volume buttons on the headset won't do anything!

I can hear the music clearly and the pause/play button on the headset works normally, but when i press the volume buttons i hear a "tu du" sound, like if something was preventing the headset from controlling the phone's sound. The volume buttons on the phone itself works fine tho.

I have absolutely no idea of what happened, i'm using the exact same phone as before and i haven't done anything that might have caused the issue, like updating/changing the system, installing some strange app or anything like that.

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? You hear that "tu du" sound when pressing either vol up or vol down? Does the Bluetooth headset work properly with other devices?

Phone is Positivo Twist S520.

I only hear the sound on volume up iirc.

Yes it works just fine on my Laptop.

Are you sure the volume isn't just at maximum?
