Bluetooth issue between Samsung A7(2018) and VW Polo 2019 infotainment system

Hi all,

I have noted that my phone (Samsung A7 - 2018) is disconnecting every few seconds from my car (Volkswagen Polo 2019 model). The car shows that 'import failed' and retries within few seconds, but it fails again. During a call when the connection is established the call is transferred to the hand free system but after few seconds it disconnects again. The connection was working fine until my last software update on my phone in December 2019.

Any idea how this issue could be solved?

Have you tested your car system with another phone to rule out that?

Either the phone is failing (as mustang said) or the car system is. Check with another phone, check with another car (at the VW dealer - same model).

You have now 3 choices.

1 wait for update by VW (but the problem is at Samsung side, J6,A5...other types are working)

2 wait for update by Samsung for A7 (latest update 01.01.2020 is also not working)

3 restore your A7 to 01.11.2019 Firmware (it's easy and working perfectly)
