Ever since I got my new car stereo, a Pioneer DEH-S5200BT every now and then when the Galaxy S 21 phone connects to the Bluetooth the volume goes up and down really fast for about 10 seconds and other times it just plain goes all the way down then i have to dig my phone out and turn the volume up. it's really annoying. When I tested my friends BT speaker out it did the same thing with the volume going up and down really fast. but my other two speakers doesn't do this or my various BT earbuds. Anyone else have this problem? The car stereo was reset many times and repaired tp the phone many times.

That is a peculiar issue. I can't remember having an issue like this. Not sure if something like this will help you out but my issue was that the BT volume would never be at the right level when connected. Like you I would have adjust it to where I wanted it, even though mine would always just seem low. What I prefer is having the phone BT volume at max and using the BT device's volume control to control the playback level. My solution is a handy little app that sets the volume and does a couple of other things I set-up using profiles for each device. The app is called Bluetooth Audio Widget. It will do things like set the volume for calls vs media, hide notifications, auto open an app and slew of other options when it detects a connection to the BT device. And you can have a different profile each device. Obviously it will create a widget for individual devices that will connect or disconnect them. It will also create a button for Quick Settings that does the same. Of course there's my favorite, set it and forget it. I don't open the app or use the widget. I let it do what it does.

That's really cool. I'll have to try that app myself, since I would love to have those functions too.

Yes me too have the phone volume turned all the way up then use the volume knob on the car stereo to control it. except the phone keeps turning the volume down. I don't know if the stereo is the problem but i hadn't had this issue with my previous two stereos.

You can use Bixby Routines for this. And it's already built into the phone. I have it set up on my Note 20 Ultra to set the BT volume to a set level when connected to my car, and the another level when connected to my Galaxy Buds Live, and yet another level when connecting to my Bluetooth speaker.

And you can create an endless number of other routines - turn on WIFI when you get home -turn off wifi when you leave home.
There are just so many options...

I didnt' know about Bixby Routines. I never use Bixby for anything and seldom use Google Assistant.

Google Assistant does routines as well. I've personally never needed them but some folks set up some very cool ones.... it's amazing what modern phones can do :p

I swapped my car stereo out as i was about to send the other one in for repairs because of the bluetooth issues but found the old stereo has the same issue then it started happening on my bluetooth speaker i use regularly. So it must be my phone. I'm going to try to reset it after i back it up. Anyone else have these volume issues with the bluetooth?

Fortunately I seem to have stable Bluetooth.

Call tech support for you stereo they should be able to help. I had a issue a few years back that best buy could not figure out but the manufacturer did help.
