Bluetooth issuse with note 3

I have an alpine cde hd137bt and I just bought a samsung note 3 when I try to set up bluetooth it wont recognize my phone I had the samsung note 2 and it worked fine....any help would be appropriated

One thing I noticed, and don't know if it would help, is that you have to check mark to make your device visible. Then my bluetooth items are able to locate my device.
