Bluetooth Keyboard Meltdown

Hey guys,
I ordered a kwmobile Bluetooth keyboard for my android tablet some weeks ago and was quite satisfied until it it decided to melt down... I used fully charged, quite new sanyo eneloop batteries to power it!
So my question would be - could you tell from the photos if it was the batteries or the keyboards fault?

Welcome to Android Central! It's the battery. Batteries can fail, leak, and sometimes explode in rare occasions. I would contact Sanyo to see if you have any recourse for your ruined device.
