Bluetooth / NFC connectivity on M8

I'm only on day 4 with my M8, switching from BB10 devices. I've had issues with bluetooth and NFC

1. My bluetooth connection can't seem to identify any of my wireless headphones

2. When trying to share photos from my M8 to my BlackBerry Classic via NFC, I don't see an option to share the photo using NFC on the M8.

Any feedback on these issues? Thanks!

My M8 always paired automatically with my car radio via bluetooth, but I never tried it with headphones. According to the HTC help page, you may need to dig through the user manuals for those headphones to figure out how to make them discoverable:

HTC One (M8) - Connecting a Bluetooth headset - SETTINGS & SERVICES - How-tos - Support | HTC United States

The only time I tried to use NFC with the M8--transferring content from the M8 to my Nexus 6--I had no luck at all. After the fact, I read that you have to find a sweetspot when beaming from phone to phone:

"The camera aperture sits near the top of the One and has a third small plastic band attaching it to the primary one. It turns out this is a critical feature to enable NFC, whose active area is the loop antenna formed by the ring around the camera."

"You might have to align the active areas or 'sweet spots' on both phones to get it to work." [roflwaffleton] That is, touching the top of the M8's back to the center of another device's back.

Yeah, it recognized my BlackBerry Classic. I figured it out though. I had to "unpair" it from the BlackBerry. After that, it was able to recognize my headphones.

My problem is that I don't have the option to share a photo via NFC. When I go through my photos, i click Share -> More-> but then no option for NFC appears

Android Beam is the NFC transfer option--do you see that?

Usually when NFC is on on both devices you just tap them back to back and touch the screen when prompted.

Finding that "sweetspot" is a little tricky though. It usually takes about 20 seconds to find it. I do have Otterbox cases on both phones, but I'm not sure if that is a factor or not.
