Bluetooth Notification Sounds

My phone sends the notification sounds through my car stereo while I'm streaming music. It's very annoying. My old phone did not do this. I can't find a setting to stop this. Any ideas?

My S4, S5, and now the S6 have all done this. It can be really annoying, especially if I'm listening to an audio book, or podcast. I've played around with different things and never been able to stop this behavior.

Put you phone on vibrate mode. It solved it for me.

If you turn on do not disturb mode, will that stop it?
