Bluetooth only notifications

Hey all. Just moved to EVO from WinMo 6x. On my WinMo phone, I could put the phone speaker in Silent mode and all notifications (incoming calls, SMS, VM, etc) would only come through my BT headset. On my EVO I can silent the ringer, and calls only come in through the headset, but notifications still come through phone speaker and headset...Am I just missing something? Is there anyway to change this?
