Bluetooth Paired but Won't Connect to Tab

I'm able to pair my Verizon s7e with my Verizon galaxy tab 10.5 (lollipop) but they cant connect. I want to use my phone as a trusted device on the tablet. Anything I need to do? I tried hard resetting the tab, I tried unpairing and repairing. I'm able to pair and connect the phone to my watch. Or do I need another app? Thanks.

Both the phone and the tab are Bluetooth suppliers. You connect a consumer with a supplier, like a headset with a phone. What you do (and it won't be by pairing them) depends on what you hope to accomplish - transferring files, controlling one from the other, etc.
