Bluetooth Pairing Issue

Hello all. I have searched and can't seem to find a solution to my problem. I cannot pair my X with my JVC KD-A815 deck. The deck shows up in devices but when I try to pair, it says "Rejected By JVC Device". Also, my iHome speakers will not even show up as available devices. The only thing that I can pair with is my iMac. Is it a defective unit or a software issue?
