Just bought a decent pair of Sennheiser wireless headphones and now noticing a ton of stutter when playing Spotify music. It was happening before with my Creative sports headphones, but I was expecting better connectivity than this. Sound quality gets wasted with the stutter.

Not sure if got something to do with July update. Seems to be happening more often after that point.

Anyone else have this issue?

What OS are you using? I had a horrible stutter with my Chromebook sending sound to a Google Home Mini but it went away when the software updated.

Google Pixel 3 with July update. Hoping it is a software issue and not hardware.

I also experience this using Google Play music with my wireless headphones. Particularly at the beginning of the song or when I place my phone in my pocket....

Although this might not be the case for you, remember that it is possible for body parts to interfere with Bluetooth signal. See if it happens if you move the phone so that a substantial part of your body isn't in between it and your headphones.

No issues here and I listen to music on Spotify, PlayMusic or Soundcloud all day long on car stereo, Aftershokz Trekz Titanium or even cheap Mpow headphones all flawless on July Update (Android Q beta 5)

Yes! I notice it happens often while walking and I place the phone in my pocket.

However, even when I bring the phone out the stuttering doesn't stop. I have to clear all the apps, sometimes reset my phone, just to make the music playback better.

Did you notice any problems before Android Q beta? Might have been improved from software side. Hoping for it. Haha

Noted. Will try to do some experiments. Doesn't happen all the time, but often enough to be noticeable, especially now when I just got good Bluetooth headphones... Haha

However, for a flagship device these issues seem a bit unacceptable.

Nah none at all to be fair. Bluetooth has been nothing but reliable for me since I got the 3xl. Not all headphones are created equal though. Some have better Bluetooth receivers than others. Also try keep your p phone on the same side of your body as the buttons are on the headphones as that's the side the Bluetooth receiver is also usually housed so the signal doesn't have to pass through your body as much

It might be worth doing a Network Settings reset on the phone?

True, issue can possibly be on the headphone side. Will do some research on that as well. Thanks!

Not sure network settings reset will affect Bluetooth connection, but will consider if it gets any worse. Haha
