Bluetooth Voice Dialing question

Hey there ...

Got a question.

For whatever reason, my voice dialing is no longer working through my bluetooth. I can hear it say "speak now" and then it quickly says "goodbye" and I quickly see on the screen that the connection to the headset is lost. However, if I make a call with my bluetooth on, it IS connected to the phone.

So, two things:

1) Is anyone else experiencing this problem? If so is there a known fix?

2) I used to use Vlingo with my Droid X, but the app says a known issue is that it does not work with Rezound. Does anyone know of an alternative to Vlingo that works with bluetooth dialing?

Vlingo does have issues with the Rezound. I'm currently on an ICS ROM and don't have that problem anymore. It's absolutely the best app for the job however I think until the ICS update comes out(or you go with an ICS ROM) that you might be out of luck with Vlingo. You can however use the stock voice search to do some of what you want...voice dial/text.

Well, at least I know when we get ICS I can use Vlingo again.

Until then, I suppose I will just have to put the phone up to my mouth for voice dialing. I suppose I can live with that, though I don't like to do too much with the phone when I am driving.

Where I live(Pennsylvania) just put laws on the books to make texting while driving a primary offense...meaning you can get pulled over for it. I think that Google needs to make bluetooth dialing part of stock Android.
