Bluetooth volume levels

Hi,

When my software did the big update I notice something going on with the Bluetooth volume when playing media files. The volume level line is half orange. I also noticed that it doesn't seem to play as loud as it used to. I used to be able to set my car volume at about a 10. Now I have to crank it up to the high 20's or 30's. The phone only occasionally mentions the dangers of listening at high levels and when I say ok it will increase a little.
Does anyone know why this is? Does Android no longer trust me to make a decision? :'(

Thanks

There could have been a change in the way Bluetooth handles the audio output for safety purposes. It's not that Samsung or Android doesn't trust you...it's just that they need to error on the side of caution since something like this can potentially cause ear damage if volumes are too high, especially with a set of Bluetooth headphones.

You can try clearing cache in recovery: power off the device. Hold home+volume down+power button until the recovery screen loads. Use volume down to highlight "clear cache" and power button to accept. Reboot and see if that fixes it.
